Our Story…and Our Why

Sunnyside Up began with a shared belief between my late husband Scott and I. We believed life was not meant to be lived in constant distraction. We wanted to create a place that encouraged people to slow down, turn off the noise and return to the simple things that matter most.

Scott often spoke those words and helped give our shared vision its voice. After his passing, they became more than a memory. They became a calling and a promise to continue what we had begun together.

As I started rebuilding my own life, I discovered something unexpected. Whether someone is grieving, entering retirement, embracing recovery, raising a family or simply longing for a slower pace, we all reach moments when we must decide how to fill the empty spaces in our lives. We believe those spaces can be filled with something meaningful.

That belief became the heart of Sunnyside Up.

What began as a simple honor-system farmstand has grown into a place where people gather to learn, create and reconnect. We believe there is healing in gardening, art, animals, music, meaningful conversation and learning something new. Sometimes the simplest experiences are the ones that leave the greatest impact. Then something beautiful happened.

People who believed in the vision began showing up with their own gifts. Today, Sunnyside Up is supported by family, friends, artisans, educators, gardeners, bakers, makers and creative minds who each bring something unique. Together, we are creating a place where everyone has something to offer, everyone has something to learn and everyone is welcome.

And as our community has grown, so has the dream.

With hope in my heart and a deep belief in what Sunnyside Up can become, I have begun this next chapter alongside Sean and Tara Belida and Grant Jordan. Together, we are building the future of Sunnyside Up through Sunnyside Up on Stormy Lane.

While it is still taking shape, our shared vision includes a second farmstand, miniature farm animals, gardens, workshops and meaningful experiences that invite people to reconnect with themselves, one another and the land.

We know meaningful places are not built overnight. They are built with faith, hard work, family and community. We are excited to build this together and to share the journey as it unfolds.

So whether you visit for fresh eggs, handcrafted goods, a workshop, the gardens or simply a quiet moment, our hope is that you leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived. Because sometimes all it takes is one place...to turn off the noise, get back to basics and find your next chapter.

Jordan Path of Integrity

The Jordan Path of Integrity is a walking labyrinth located at Sunnyside Up Farm and created in honor of my late husband, Scott M. Jordan.

A labyrinth is not a maze. There are no wrong turns, dead ends, or tricks. It is simply one winding path that leads you to the center and then back out again. People have walked labyrinths for thousands of years as a way to slow down, reflect, pray, meditate, grieve, celebrate, seek clarity, or simply enjoy a quiet moment.

Scott and I purchased this property in 2003 and spent years building and caring for it together. After his passing in 2024, I wanted to create a place where others could pause, breathe, and reconnect with what matters most.

Whether you walk with a prayer, a question, a memory of someone you love, or simply a desire for peace, the invitation is the same: Slow down. Be present. Take one step at a time.

The path is located on private property at Sunnyside Up Farm and is available by appointment or during designated events.

May your walk bring you peace, clarity, and a deeper connection to yourself, to nature, and to the present moment.
